My journey into accounting started in tenth grade when I signed up for a bookkeeping class, believing it was going to teach me how to organize my vinyl record collection. Instead, I discovered the world of accounting and what would become a lifelong passion and rewarding career.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1991 from Chapman University in Orange, California, I returned to the Pacific Northwest, where I’ve happily called home ever since. Over the past 30+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many thriving public accounting firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as with both a large corporation and several small businesses. Each experience has broadened my perspective and strengthened my ability to help clients navigate a wide range of tax and accounting needs.
In 2016, I became an Enrolled Agent, a federally licensed tax professional authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. While I’m proud of that achievement, I’ve found that some of my most valuable lessons continue to come from the clients and colleagues I have the privilege of working with every day.
The enthusiasm for accounting that began in that high school classroom has never faded, and I bring that same passion, curiosity, and commitment to every client engagement. Whether working with an individual, a family, or a business owner, my goal is always the same – to provide thoughtful guidance and build relationships based on trust.
In February 2026, I joined the small but mighty team at Kirk Accounting Solutions, where I truly found my home away from home. I’m grateful to be part of a team that shares my values of integrity, collaboration, and personalized service, and I look forward to helping our clients succeed for years to come.
